Women's basketball plays Vanguard (Calif.) University in the first round of the NAIA Tournament on March 18.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team earned its third consecutive and seventh overall trip to the NAIA National Championship. The Blue Raiders received a No. 8 seed and will face top seeded and third ranked Vanguard (Calif.) University in the first round at 2:15 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 18 in Jackson, Tenn.

"We're excited to be a part of this great field and for the opportunity to compete against one of the very best teams in the NAIA," Lindsey Wilson head coach John B. Wethington said. "Vanguard is a terrific team and Coach (Russ) Davis does an outstanding job. I know he will have his team ready to play."

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College softball team dropped its first two Mid-South Conference games of the season today at Campbellsville (Ky.) University.

The Blue Raiders fall to 13-6 overall and 6-2 in conference play with a 5-4 loss in eight innings in the first game and a 4-3 loss in the nightcap.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's track and field team has signed Green County High School state-champion Raegan Deaton to an NAIA scholarship, the school announced on Wednesday.

In four seasons at Green County, Deaton collected three Kentucky Track & Field Class A State Championships and nine Region 5A Championships.

OWENSBORO, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College baseball team swept a doubleheader today at Brescia (Ky.) University.

The Blue Raiders improved to 10-7 overall with a 6-0 win in the opener and 5-3 win in the nightcap. The Bearcats fall to 0-15 on the season.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Ally Goniea was named player of the week, while Morgan Paschall earned pitcher of the week honors to give the Lindsey Wilson College softball team a sweep of the Mid-South Conference Softball weekly awards, the conference announced on Monday.

The awards are the first of the season and first career conference honors for Goniea and Paschall.

Goniea went 7-for-17 (.412) at the plate with a home run and eight RBI to take MSC Player of the Week honors.
