COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College football coach Chris Oliver announced today the signing of a dozen student-athletes to the 2010 class. The 12 future Blue Raiders join 26 that inked on National Signing Day.

"We are excited about these 12 new additions to the Blue Raider football program," Oliver said. "Although the initial signing day has passed, our recruiting has not come to an end for this class.This is a talented group of players, and there are certainly some guys on this list who will be on the field for us this fall.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- With just 212 days until kickoff, the Lindsey Wilson College football program added 26 future Blue Raiders today to its first team in 75 years. The 26 student-athletes inked with Lindsey Wilson during National Signing Day.

"We are delighted to announce this group of talented young men who have chosen to continue their academic and athletic careers at Lindsey Wilson College," coach Chris Oliver said. "I believe that our staff has done a terrific job of identifying and recruiting prospects that will fit in well with the vision of Blue Raider football.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- With the first Lindsey Wilson College football season in 75 years just 217 days away from kickoff, the full coaching staff is beginning to take shape. Bert Bathiany and Will Judson are the latest hires who join the program as graduate assistant coaches.

Bathiany is a native of Fort Thomas, Ky., where he captained the 2004 Kentucky State Football Champion Highlands High School, while Judson arrives in Columbia from Fayetteville, Ga. Judson played collegiately at the University of Illinois.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College will host six home football games in 2010.

In addition to a Sept. 4 season-opener against Notre Dame (Ohio) College, the Blue Raiders will play home games against Southern Virginia University on Sept. 11, Pikeville (Ky.) College on Oct. 9, Union (Ky.) College on Oct. 16, West Virginia University Tech on Oct. 30 and Georgetown (Ky.) College on Nov. 6. Homecoming will be celebrated at the Oct. 30 game.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- With its first home game in more than 75 years less than a year away, the ground is literally being laid right now for the return of football to Lindsey Wilson College.

A special playing field is being installed at the site of Lindsey Wilson's outdoor sports stadium on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway. The surface is known as a 24/7, a special turf created by The Motz Group of Cincinnati.
