Roberto Vergara and the men's cross country team were picked to finish sixth in the MSC in 2010.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- With four veterans joining five incoming freshmen, the Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team was pegged sixth in the 2010 Mid-South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Sophomore Jordan Green returns with the most experience after finishing in 28th place at last year's MSC Championship, while newcomer to the team, sophomore Jairus Kipkemoi provides another quality runner who mainly specializes in long-distance track & field races.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team signed Matthew Mattingly from Marion County High School to an NAIA scholarship, the school announced on Friday.

Mattingly, a Gravel Switch, Ky., native, will join the Blue Raiders for the 2010-11 season and is already looking forward to helping the team.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Freshman Kevin Rono led the Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team, finishing in 11th place with a time of 28 minutes and 5.01 seconds in the Mid-South Conference Championship at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky.

Lindsey Wilson finished in fifth place in the team standings with 124 points in the last event of the season. The University of Rio Grande (Ohio) took the team title with 25 points, while University of the Cumberlands was the runner-up with 52 points.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Freshman Kevin Rono paced the Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team at Saturday's Southeastern Classic. Rono finished 89th in the field of 216 with a time of 27 minutes and 51.46 seconds at E.P Tom Sawyer State Park.

The Blue Raiders earned 642 points to finish in 22nd place as a team.

WILMINGTON, Ohio -- Freshman Kevin Rono led the way for the Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team at Friday's Wilmington College Fall Classic. The newcomer finished 92nd in the field of 265 with a time of 28 minutes and 21.07 seconds.

Overall, the Blue Raiders earned 570 points to finish 18th in the field of 26 schools.
