COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College baseball team announces the signing of 13 freshmen student-athletes and five transfers to make up the 18-member 2010 recruiting class.
"We are very excited about all of these young men joining the program," Blue Raider head coach Mike Talley said. "They are high-character young men, which is one of the first things we look for in our players. They are also very good baseball players which will make for an interesting fall with a lot of competition at a lot of different positions."
GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College baseball team's season ended today with a 5-2 loss to Georgetown (Ky.) College in the opening series of the Mid-South Conference Tournament at Robert N. Wilson Field.

GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College dropped the first of the three-game series with host Georgetown (Ky.) College 4-3 tonight in the opening round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament at Robert N. Wilson Field.
Georgetown starting pitcher Kevin Reuff struck out 13 Blue Raider batters in the complete game win. Lindsey Wilson sophomore starter Derek Cape also went the distance in the losing effort. Cape allowed four runs -- three earned -- while scattering nine Tiger hits in eight innings of work.
COLUMBIA, Ky. -- To advance into a four-team double elimination portion of the Mid-South Conference Baseball Tournament, the Lindsey Wilson College baseball team must first get by Georgetown (Ky.) College in a best of three series starting Thursday in Georgetown, Ky.
The Tigers earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament, while the Blue Raiders enter the postseason as the No. 6 seed. Lindsey Wilson finished 1-3 against Georgetown in the regular season, playing all four games on the road.

Game two of the scheduled doubleheader was rained out with the Blue Raiders leading 2-0 in the third inning. Lindsey Wilson concludes its regular season with a 30-23 mark, including a 12-15 Mid-South Conference record.
